Air China online check-in starts 24 hours before departure and closes 3 hours before. Passengers with hand baggage only must proceed to the gate where the flight departs after online check-in. Air China baggage allowances and fares
Air China has a carry-on baggage limit of 8 kg for passengers in all ticket classes. Transit with a personal item is allowed with carry-on baggage. All passengers have a baggage allowance of up to 23 kg on domestic flights. On international flights, Business Class passengers are entitled to 2 free pieces of baggage up to 23 kg, depending on the flight distance. Non-business passengers, on the other hand, can take a free baggage allowance of up to 23 kg. There is a $50-$150 fee for the second and third bags.

Food, drinks and meals are free on Air China.
