During the Nazi occupation of the country in 1939, the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia was declared at Prague Castle, and most of the Jews were exiled. At the end of the war in Prague, where many people were killed and injured, buildings, factories and hundreds of historical places were destroyed. In 1945, with the entry of the Soviet army into the city as a result of the uprising against Germany, most of the German population was expelled from the country with the post-war Beneš decrees.

The Old Town Tower is considered one of the most magnificent structures in the world with its gothic architectural style. The famous Old Town Square, which is on the Unesco World Heritage list, is the most important touristic area of Prague. The Astronomical Clock Tower in the square is also located on the south wall of the square. In the area between Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge, Tyn Cathedral and St. Nicholas Church is a must see.
Famous for its stained glass, St. Vitus Cathedral, St. Barbora Cathedral, Cathedral of the Virgin Mary, St. James Cathedral and the National Museum, the Museum of Puppet Culture and Mining Museum in Stare Mesto, and the Kafka Museum. In addition to the Jewish Quarter, the Jewish Cemetery where Kafka's body is located, the Mucha Museum, the Toy Museum inside the castle and the Opera House are among the places worth seeing.
Petrin Hill, 318 m high, is one of the must-see places in Prague. The park, which connects 8 parks, is the largest green area in Prague and hosts the Petrin Tower, which is similar to the Eiffel Tower. This is also the highest point in the city.
